CeSIA and the Paris Peace Forum launch a joint consultation on AI safety and cybersecurity research

Consultation PPF x CeSIA on cybersec

The gap between the pace of AI-driven cyber threats and the research infrastructure meant to address them is widening. Research remains fragmented, underfunded, and too often disconnected from the policy processes that need it most.

To recommend concrete strategies and actions in the context of the G7 French presidency, CeSIA and the Paris Peace Forum are currently conducting two parallel consultations on AI safety, cybersecurity research, and how it is funded.

We are gathering inputs from:

  1. Researchers from academic institutions, think tanks, and civil society organisations working on AI safety/security and cybersecurity in the public interest: https://ppfcesiaconsultation1.netlify.app
  2. Funders from public agencies, philanthropic foundations, and international organisations that finance this research: https://ppfcesiaconsultation2.netlify.app

Both questionnaires take around 20 minutes and cover priority threat scenarios, research infrastructure gaps, funding mechanisms, cross-community collaboration, and international coordination.

Deadline: Tuesday 19 May 2026, 20:00 CET.
